Eston Tan (b. 1972) is a modern and contemporary artist who is now based permanently in Taiwan. He started his art tutelage at the Malaysian Institute of Art and The One Academy, Kuala Lumpur. He showed early promise clinching the Major Award in Penang Young Talent Awards. Eston was featured in a solo exhibition in Vienna, Austria in 2009 entitled Down to Earth and a group exhibition in Symposium, Hungary. His works are widely collected and exhibited in Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, USA, UK, Belgium, Paraguay, Italy, France, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.
‘Memoirs of Life’ is a beautiful presentation of 30 of the artist’s most seminal artworks which lay his most stimulating tribute to his celebration of life, love, and art during the pandemic. All 30 master artworks are featured for the very first time at this show and marks an inspirational journey through the artist’s eyes, each telling a meaningful story reflecting love and honour of his roots.
‘Memoirs of Life’ is also a creation of the heirloom of values for generations to come, like how sunlight enters raindrops and emerges as a beautiful rainbow, just as how love enters each soul and fuels the passion of loving, living and leaving legacies.
